Responsibilities
- Define enterprise platform and reference architectures, engineering standards, governance models, and guardrails.
- Lead modernization roadmaps for data, streaming, integration, and platform engineering ecosystems.
- Own Snowflake architecture covering security, governance, RBAC, data sharing, performance, workload management, and cost optimization.
- Design Confluent Cloud and Kafka event-driven architectures, including topic governance, schema management, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and cluster strategy.
- Establish integration patterns across Kafka, Kafka Connect, APIs, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT, and downstream systems.
- Define GitHub Actions CI/CD standards, Infrastructure-as-Code practices, automation, release governance, and quality gates.
- Establish Data Mesh principles, domain ownership, governance, metadata management, and interoperability standards.
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deliver scalable data products and platform transformation initiatives.
- Guide platform security, compliance, resilience, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Integration, or Data Platforms.
- Experience implementing at least one large, multi-technology cloud data platform program.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and/or Confluent Kafka.
- Experience with Confluent Cloud, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, DevOps automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of Data Mesh, data governance, security, and compliance.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and platform operations.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- High analytical ability, initiative, flexibility, customer orientation, quality awareness, and verbal and written communication skills.
