Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship full-stack applications spanning Python services, REST APIs, relational data models, asynchronous jobs, TypeScript interfaces, deployment, testing, observability, and production reliability.
- Build interactive tools for authoring, parameterizing, versioning, and managing reproducible test scenarios.
- Develop interfaces for launching and tracking simulations and drive-log replays, browsing results, comparing regressions, and triaging scenario-level failures.
- Build shared platform foundations including authentication, access control, multi-tenancy, and API conventions.
- Work with users to translate ambiguous engineering workflows into simple and reliable interfaces.
- Perform work according to the company’s Quality Management System requirements and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Production full-stack experience spanning backend services, REST APIs, relational data modeling and SQL, and modern frontend development such as React and TypeScript.
- Working proficiency in Python for services, libraries, and tooling.
- Ability to work directly with users to turn ambiguous engineering workflows into simple, reliable interfaces.
- Strong ownership, self-direction, learning ability, and willingness to drive projects end to end.
- Preferred experience with interactive or visual web tooling such as canvas, WebGL, Electron, or map- and geometry-based editing.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment and operation of web services.
- Preferred experience with large datasets, time-series or log data, responsive interfaces, telemetry, usage analysis, data visualization at scale, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or simulation and scenario-based testing.
