Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance network system architecture and security features for mission-critical applications.
- Partner with Engineering Architects, Product Managers, Solution Architects, and customers to understand complex use cases and review product requirements documents.
- Author design and functional specifications and drive unit testing and automation to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve system-level issues, optimize data-path performance, and drive feature innovation.
- Apply advanced software design and troubleshooting expertise to coach junior team members and maintain compliance with federal security certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 8+ years of experience in system engineering for high-performance networking.
- Expertise in Linux kernel-based Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, stateful firewalls, NAT, network drivers, routing protocols, and networking and security protocols.
- Proficiency in Go and Python, with strong debugging and problem-solving skills for complex data-path issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for designing scalable systems in a high-accountability environment.
- Curiosity about AI tools and demonstrated experience integrating new technologies into workflows.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML frameworks or intelligent data-path analysis, WireGuard, GRE, L2VPN, VRRP, FIPS, FedRAMP, TLS, DTLS, QUIC, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, or security solutions.
