Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated and manual test cases for product feature validation.
- Run automated and manual tests to validate defect fixes and functionality.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and shell tools and scripts.
- Triage test failures on a daily basis.
- Work with the engineering manager and geographically distributed engineering team to understand product requirements and features.
- Contribute to QA reports and provide input on release metrics.
- Contribute to and validate product documentation.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in automation.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree/experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and good knowledge of shell scripting.
- Robot Framework experience for test automation is preferred.
- Hands-on understanding of high-availability concepts, including quorum, failover, and failback.
- Strong practical knowledge of distributed file systems such as Lustre, GPFS, and Ceph, plus basic file system concepts.
