Java Backend Engineer

Base Salary
$150k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems with high availability and performance.
- Design backend services and support the development of the next-generation bot runtime platform with the Bots & Automation team.
- Debug production issues, maintain existing code, and improve application performance.
- Develop technical specifications and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience building successful production software systems.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot programming skills, including knowledge of multithreading.
- Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra and MySQL.
- Experience with Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, and Hadoop.
- Experience building backend APIs and debugging distributed microservice-based applications.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, third-party API integrations, and development tools.
- Node.js, Python, GCP, and AWS experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithm design.
