Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies with peers and stakeholders.
  • Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing effects on hardware, networks, services, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
  • At least 1 year of experience with computer vision, video generation, or signal processing.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Preferred: proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Benefits

  • Germany base pay is €106000 - €108000 EUR annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
  • The role is part of Google’s XR team developing smart glasses and headset experiences.
