Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and operation of API and full-stack solutions for Stays and Packages.
- Proactively identify and resolve engineering bottlenecks in the codebase or infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and PMs to ensure alignment on technical roadmaps.
- Conduct deep-dive design reviews and mentor senior engineers.
- Drive decision-making through high-quality documentation and asynchronous communication.
Requirements
- Deep experience with distributed system development in Scala.
- Strong product thinking focused on customer experience and stable commerce engines.
- Ability to prioritize 'configuration over customization' in system design.
- Technical fearlessness to navigate complex codebases and implement abstractions.
- Pragmatic vision to balance long-term health with the need for speed.
