Base Salary
$196k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Design to define, build, and evolve full-stack user experiences.
- Own frontend and backend architecture for scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Design and implement frontend systems using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Build backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
- Establish full-stack engineering standards, tooling, testing strategies, and CI/CD practices.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives and align architecture with platform capabilities and product strategy.
- Identify technical risks and opportunities and provide technical direction and tradeoff analysis.
- Mentor engineers across frontend and backend disciplines.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end automation tests.
- Define and monitor performance, reliability, and user-behavior metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Proficiency with Python and Django, including API design, data modeling, and service architecture.
- Strong experience with frontend architecture, state management, component design, design systems, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and operating backend systems at scale, including databases, caching, queuing, and API integrations.
- Experience building and operating production applications using server-side and client-side rendering.
- Deep understanding of software engineering practices including testing, code reviews, observability, and operational excellence.
- At least 4 years of industry experience across frontend and backend development.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or LLMs.
