Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, debug, and support secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for engineering frameworks, tools, and software development practices.
- Influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code practices.
- Strong coding skills in Java and Spring.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and production support.
- Experience with XZBoost, model hosting, and low-latency/high-throughput systems.
- Knowledge of big data technologies and exposure to agentic AI are preferred.
