Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, debug, implement, and enhance enterprise eCommerce software.
- Lead eCommerce implementations on the commercetools platform with hands-on software design, development, and integration contributions.
- Design headless eCommerce solutions and collaborate with technical teams on APIs, process flows, and data flows.
- Lead design and coding sessions, resolve technical and design conflicts, and coordinate requirements with business analysts and users.
- Analyze system requirements, business processes, and information systems; contribute to system planning, scheduling, and implementation.
- Resolve integration and interfacing issues between backend systems and optimize application performance and scalability.
- Lead project estimation efforts, contribute to conceptual and logical architectures, and assist with project risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Review systems and documentation, perform code reviews, and mentor and train peers and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field, or a high school diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of previous experience is required in addition to the education requirement.
- Preferred experience includes five years designing and developing eCommerce applications.
- Preferred experience includes three years architecting eCommerce applications with the commercetools enterprise commerce platform.
- Advanced knowledge of systems development, implementation, upgrades, analysis, enterprise coding standards, software methodologies, QA testing, and system design and analysis.
- Hands-on experience writing complex code and performing code reviews.
- Ability to lead groups to consensus, solve problems, meet deadlines, adapt to change, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, along with mentoring and training ability.
