Principal UI Architect, AVP
State StreetResponsibilities
- Lead complex React-based design, development, and implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable software architectures and solutions for complex problems.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for escalated issues.
- Review code and ensure adherence to architectural and coding standards.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership and drive continuous improvement in development practices.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through test automation and assist with manual testing as required.
- Participate in the CRD scrum process, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with global teams on platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Recommended bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Recommended 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of React and modern JavaScript frameworks and their ecosystems.
- Strong experience with architectural decision-making.
- Experience leveraging AI tools in routine development and work activities.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in financial services is a plus.
- Experience with Micro-Frontend Architecture is desired.
