Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement NLP, LLM, generative AI, deep learning, computer vision, and other AI/ML models.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop production-grade APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native or edge-deployed AI services.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with attention to security, reliability, observability, and performance.
- Conduct model optimization, tuning, versioning, and A/B testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, mission subject-matter experts, and product teams to identify needs and define technical approaches.
- Prepare technical documentation, contribute to design reviews, and support customer-driven requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing ML models such as NLP or LLM, computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, or reinforcement learning.
- Experience developing AI/ML capabilities in a microservice stack and developing or maintaining production APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Experience designing, configuring, or deploying software systems in operational environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Preferred experience includes GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS, AWS, model containerization in classified environments, LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, MLOps, distributed training, hybrid cloud, automated testing, model evaluation, CI/CD, GitLab, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science, AI Engineering, ML Engineering, Data Science, or a STEM field, or AI/ML, Cloud, or Solution Architecture certifications.
