Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software features through requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and operations.
- Design simple solutions for complex software problems and review designs with senior engineers.
- Participate in on-call operations, monitor production systems, maintain latency and availability, and drive permanent fixes for incidents.
- Document how systems are built, tested, secured, and operated, and train new engineers.
- Review code, collaborate with customers and partner teams, and prioritize features, operational work, and business commitments.
- Refactor and remove outdated software while helping consolidate overlapping systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Written and oral communication skills across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience using generative AI tools, writing effective prompts, and critically evaluating AI-generated output.
- Preferred: experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
