Base Salary
$145k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Nurture prospects and support corporate customers to help drive sales.
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof-of-value workshops.
- Answer Postman technical questions and address customer needs with solutions or workarounds.
- Create reusable collateral explaining API-first adoption with Postman.
- Understand customer workflows and recommend API-first development practices.
- Share customer feedback with internal teams and advocate for customers.
- Track competitive trends and challenges in the API market.
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows for prospective customers.
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and product best practices.
- Act as a technical intermediary between sales and internal teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of corporate sales or solutions engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of API and data platform experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Customer-facing experience engaging developers, QA professionals, product teams, and engineering leaders.
- Strong understanding of APIs and experience producing and consuming APIs across domains.
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies, DevOps, software development life cycle practices, SaaS sales processes, and cloud security concerns.
- Experience executing sales strategies and methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services.
- Strong communication, presentation, listening, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
