Responsibilities
- Set technical standards, guide architecture, and shape engineering practices aligned with company goals.
- Design and build high-quality, secure, scalable, enterprise-grade systems and multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Lead initiatives that accelerate development cycles, improve engineering productivity, and reduce delivery bottlenecks.
- Own codebase readability, maintainability, code quality, security, audits, and structural improvements.
- Embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle and proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with product, sales, operations, the CTO, and engineering leadership on technical decisions and business objectives.
- Mentor senior engineers, provide constructive feedback, and promote technical excellence across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept projects for useful tools, platforms, and techniques.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software development experience focused on scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS applications.
- Experience leading organizational technical strategy and designing secure, scalable multi-tenant systems with data isolation and tenant-specific configurations.
- Experience supporting thousands of concurrent users and real-time or low-latency applications while addressing GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, privacy, and data residency requirements.
- Track record of making complex end-to-end architectural decisions in globally distributed SaaS or multi-product environments while balancing business value, performance, reliability, and cost.
- Strong collaboration, consensus-building, stakeholder alignment, and feedback-integration skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby and experience with Django, Gin, or Rails.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, including scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.
- Familiarity with React, Ember.js, or Vue.js and advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and a strong understanding of cloud-native architecture.
- Pragmatic approach to technical decisions focused on business value and effective trade-offs.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and providing constructive feedback.
