Base Salary
$197k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for strategic enterprise customers using OneTrust’s big-data and high-scale services.
- Diagnose, reproduce, triage, and resolve complex issues involving distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, integrations, and production environments.
- Lead technical deep dives with customers covering architectures, data flows, performance constraints, and success metrics.
- Translate customer pain points into problem statements, technical requirements, and prioritized backlog items for Product Management and Engineering.
- Guide customers on scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and observability best practices.
- Partner with Product Engineering, SRE/CloudOps, and Support during incidents and participate in postmortems.
- Mentor Support and Customer Success teams on technical topics.
- Create runbooks, knowledge base articles, reference architectures, sample code, and internal playbooks.
- Provide structured, data-driven feedback to Product Management on roadmap, usability, and technical gaps.
- Drive product, tooling, and process improvements that reduce incident recurrence and improve customer satisfaction and adoption.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including at least three years in a customer-facing role such as Solutions Engineer, Customer/Field Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
- Experience with distributed datastores or warehouses such as Cosmos DB, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, and Kafka or streaming pipelines.
- Experience building or supporting high-throughput, low-latency APIs and services in a cloud environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across application, data, infrastructure, and network layers.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, including monitoring, logging, and observability tooling.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, business-relevant language and present to engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated customer empathy, ownership, and focus on customer outcomes.
- Preferred experience in B2B SaaS, particularly data, security, privacy, or compliance domains.
- Preferred background in high-scale multi-tenant architectures, performance optimization, incident management, and roadmap development based on customer needs.
- Prior exposure to consent, privacy, or data governance systems is a plus.
