Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end QA delivery for programs and releases, including scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID management, and executive reporting.
  • Build and mentor QA teams through coaching, goal setting, and capability development.
  • Define and maintain test strategy and architecture across functional, regression, integration, API, UI, performance, and data-validation testing.
  • Establish quality engineering standards covering test design, automation coding, frameworks, branching, test data, environments, documentation, and auditability.
  • Lead automation roadmaps, framework evolution, tooling selection, CI/CD integration, design reviews, maintainability, flakiness reduction, service virtualization, mocking, and contract testing.
  • Implement governed AI-assisted quality engineering practices for requirements analysis, test planning, coverage optimization, failure analytics, defect triage, code review, refactoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Own quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, execution health, flakiness, cycle time, and escape rate.
  • Govern test data, environment stability, defect management, triage, root-cause analysis, preventive actions, release readiness, sign-offs, and rollback planning.
  • Drive adoption of secure, traceable, and compliant AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Ability to write automated tests in Java, TypeScript, or Python using Playwright and Selenium.
  • Expertise in at least one of Java, Python, or TypeScript and working knowledge of AI-assisted testing and QA analytics concepts.
  • Expertise with JIRA and ALM tools such as QTEST, plus working knowledge of databases.
  • Knowledge of integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Understanding of defect and data-management tools, object repositories, and XPath.
  • Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, and test automation strategies.
  • Experience leading test strategy, delivery governance, and technical direction across multiple teams or workstreams.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred knowledge of AI, machine learning, data science, NLP, cloud computing, or banking.
  • Preferred experience with UFT, TOSCA, or UIPATH.
