Base Salary
$180k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality, scalable game software and systems using C++.
- Troubleshoot gaming program and system malfunctions and resolve operational problems.
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers to implement gameplay experiences.
- Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and gaming systems, including coordinating installations.
- Develop and integrate 2D and 3D graphics, animation, audio systems, physics engines, and artificial intelligence features.
- Integrate advanced peripherals including motion controllers and VR/AR headsets.
- Analyze software, hardware, data, and information-processing needs when designing or modifying systems.
- Optimize gameplay performance across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and provide feedback to developers.
- Contribute throughout the game development lifecycle from prototyping through release and stay current with game development technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 8.5 years of experience with strong proficiency in C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- At least 6 years of experience with game engines or systems such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
- At least 6 years of experience with game development fundamentals including graphics, audio, physics, and AI.
- At least 7 years of experience with 2D and 3D graphics, animation, and audio systems.
- At least 3 years of experience integrating advanced peripherals such as motion controllers and VR/AR headsets.
