Base Salary
$185k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, optimization, and scaling of real-time data ecosystems and event-driven pipelines for personalized audience experiences.
- Design self-service data and personalization frameworks, governance standards, and APIs for engineering, analytics, and marketing teams.
- Establish architecture standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive adoption across product lines.
- Provide technical direction and cross-divisional oversight for complex engineering projects spanning multiple teams and systems.
- Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders on planning, roadmaps, and technical proposal reviews.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code standards, security and privacy alignment, and cost optimization.
- Support deployments, CI/CD practices, production troubleshooting, and the engineering on-call rotation after onboarding.
- Assist with technical staff onboarding, inclusive hiring, and process improvement within scrum environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and leading solutioning and architecture planning in multi-team environments.
- At least 5 years of experience designing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient systems.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
- At least 5 years of experience building multi-platform applications across web, mobile, voice, APIs, and system integrations.
- Demonstrated experience with external API and service integrations, real-time integrations, data-centric applications, and personalized user experiences at scale.
- Expertise in data governance strategy and implementation, with familiarity with medallion architecture.
- Fluency in Node/TypeScript and Python.
- Experience building high-traffic consumer-facing applications, including SEO, browser performance, and CDN configuration concerns.
- Experience with data privacy and compliance concerns such as GDPR and CPPA.
- Experience with test and development automation, version control systems, cost optimization, forecasting, and high-availability tradeoffs.
- Preferred experience with Apache Spark, Snowflake, machine learning architectures, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, open-source software, or public technical communities.
