Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and influence the engineering roadmap for the platform’s streaming capabilities.
- Design and lead implementation of complex, critical systems for data-intensive use cases.
- Research and champion technologies and architectural patterns for strategic scaling challenges.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and ensure technical alignment and execution across teams.
- Improve observability, reliability, scalability, and operational practices for platform systems.
- Coach and mentor senior engineers and act as a technical leader across the engineering organization.
- Collaborate with product teams and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience with Golang or Java is preferred.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and tuning highly scalable, event-driven systems.
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals and experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Passion and interest in building highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure systems.
- Experience with TypeScript and React is an extra qualification.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker is an extra qualification.
- Familiarity with or interest in the Identity and Access Management business domain is an extra qualification.
