Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, debugging, testing, and review of C# and Python software applications for IMA Configuration Tools.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior software engineers.
- Partner with systems engineers and stakeholders to analyze user needs and translate requirements into software solutions.
- Ensure development aligns with product specifications, technical requirements, and program objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, external partners, and vendors on interoperability, integration, and software reuse.
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and solve complex engineering problems.
- Support task planning, work assignment definition, and execution to meet program schedules and deliverables.
- Improve software development processes, tools, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and testing applications in C# and/or Python.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
- Experience leading projects and/or mentoring software engineering team members is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and software engineering skills are preferred.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms is preferred.
- Experience with C#, C++, Java, and/or Python is preferred.
- Experience developing engineering tools, configuration tools, or applications for regulated or technical environments is a plus.
