Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems and contribute to architectural discussions and design documentation.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and evolve RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.
- Deploy services on Google Cloud Platform and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Cloud Build.
- Improve system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence while troubleshooting production issues and participating in incident management.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering standards across the team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of advanced software development experience, or 5 years with a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience, building large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and caching mechanisms.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with distributed cloud-native environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in professional software engineering practices, automated unit and integration testing, source control, and code quality standards.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes/GKE, event-driven architectures, distributed processing, Terraform, Cloud Monitoring, Logging, warehouse operations, logistics, high-value item authentication, or React.
