Base Salary
$307k - $427k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the overall end-to-end technical strategy and roadmap for GDC Storage and Data Protection.
- Drive strategic roadmap and development for systems, tools, and infrastructure that improve GDC Storage scalability.
- Collaborate with peer technical leads to develop a strategic roadmap addressing reliability findings.
- Work with global engineers and product managers to make architecture, time-to-market, and business tradeoffs.
- Provide technical guidance and influence software engineering teams, technical leaders, stakeholders, and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in cloud computing, including enterprise applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
- 10 years of experience building enterprise storage systems.
- Experience with private and public cloud design considerations involving developer and operator productivity, virtualization, containers, high performance computing, data, security, and configuration or policy automation.
- Experience providing technical guidance and working with teams to deliver services for internal and external stakeholders.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience designing and implementing large-scale filesystems or distributed storage systems.
- Preferred: experience leading product development of second-generation cloud products at scale.
- Preferred: experience with IaaS solutions such as Kubernetes, system virtualization, hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security systems, cloud monitoring and logging, or local and cloud storage.
- Preferred: technical expertise in systems and software with the leadership skills to influence technical leaders across the company.
