Responsibilities
- Analyze, build, modernize, maintain, and deploy enterprise APIs and database layers.
- Design application architecture patterns and data models for business use cases.
- Develop and deploy near-real-time event-driven applications and migrate on-premises applications to the cloud.
- Create monitoring queries, alerts, dashboards, scheduled jobs, stored procedures, and AWS data models.
- Participate in architecture design, define application-level architecture, and develop applications for complex projects and subsystems.
- Recommend development and testing tools, review test plans, and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Create documentation, establish project life-cycle plans, coordinate schedules and assignments, and help deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Advise on risk management, technical strategy, technology solutions, and technical estimates.
- Act as a liaison with business units, resolve project and technology issues, and perform complex technical and functional analysis.
- Coordinate offshore project teams and mentor junior and new team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience must include data modeling and developing APIs using Spring Boot, Kafka, or RDS in a financial-services environment.
- Experience developing highly available, scalable, low-latency distributed REST APIs using LWC Framework, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience deploying Docker images into Kubernetes and developing AWS batch solutions using Glue, S3, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience developing event-streaming processes using Confluent, Kafka, and Kafka Connect.
- Experience with application log collection and monitoring using Kibana/ELK, Grafana, and Splunk, and publishing REST APIs to STRATUM.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and working with Linux scripts, Oracle DDL/DML, REST API services, Jenkins, Stash, GitHub, and uDeploy.
- Experience developing data migration processes with Control-M and transferring data to downstream analytical systems using SFTP.
- Experience developing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures and analyzing SQL statements with EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL Developer, and TOAD.
- Experience with automated and performance testing using Postman collections, Rushhour, and Karate, and with prompting techniques using GitHub Copilot.
