Base Salary
$97k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, application development, model development, and implementation of new or revised applications.
- Monitor and control application development phases including analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and user or operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop security measures during post-implementation analysis to support successful system design and functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install systems and assist with customer exposure systems.
- Define and follow operating standards and processes and serve as an advisor or coach to lower-level analysts.
- Act as a subject matter expert for at least one area of applications development and assess technology risks and compliance controls.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant software development experience and at least 4 years of systems analysis and software application programming experience.
- At least 3 years of applications development experience and 3 years of hands-on server-side Java, including Java 8 and concurrent programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript, Angular, jQuery, and CSS.
- Strong experience with Oracle and/or MongoDB databases and creating SQL queries.
- In-depth knowledge of modern application architecture, including practical experience with Spring Boot, event-driven services, and cloud-native application development.
- Practical experience with Web API, Kafka, and Git; IBM WebSphere experience is a plus.
- Experience in Agile, Scrum, and/or test-driven development environments.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and serving as a subject matter expert in applications development.
- Data modeling and data architecture experience is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly and demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
