Responsibilities

  • Own development, testing, and deployment tasks at the application or software-component level.
  • Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation using Chef, including Infra and Habitat.
  • Administer Jenkins platforms and write Jenkins pipelines to orchestrate builds and connect tools across the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Integrate Jenkins with Sonar, Maven, Artifactory, and related development tools.
  • Troubleshoot and refactor existing code and adopt languages and architecture patterns as needed.
  • Improve the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Scale systems through automation and changes that improve reliability and delivery velocity.
  • Participate in incident response, blameless postmortems, and production-event troubleshooting to optimize mean time to recover.
  • Influence team decisions, assist less experienced team members, and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience administering Jenkins platforms or strong knowledge of writing Jenkins pipelines.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective CI/CD flows that move code from development to production with minimal manual effort.
  • Experience with one or more of Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl, or Ruby is preferred.
  • Experience with industry-standard CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Maven, Git or Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations, make decisions with urgency, and support stakeholders across a global team.
  • Active learning, problem-solving, and the ability to influence technical decisions and support less experienced team members.
