Responsibilities
- Conduct customer discovery and use customer insights to guide engineering decisions.
- Ship full-stack product features end-to-end from discovery through production deployment.
- Use Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate software delivery.
- Own zero-to-one initiatives including dunning workflows and customer portal re-engineering.
- Develop solutions for energy retail domains including billing, procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization.
- Exercise judgment over which initiatives to build, skip, or discontinue.
- Help shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes.
- Contribute to recruiting and raise the engineering hiring bar.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of shipping real, end-to-end full-stack products.
- Evidence of exceptional technical ability through high-bar organizations, outstanding shipped projects, competitive programming, research, or founding experience.
- Ability to own the full stack and work effectively in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
- Fluency with AI-native development tools and a productivity-multiplier mindset.
- Experience at a seed to Series C startup.
- Interest or experience in energy retail topics such as billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimization.
- Strong university background in a relevant field.
- Professional German fluency at C1 level or above.
Benefits
- Annual salary of 80,000 to 120,000 EUR.
- On-site position in Berlin, Germany (Mitte), primarily five days per week.
