Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate architectural options, make design decisions, and break complex work into deliverable increments with the Solution Architecture Lead.
- Build services and integrations, review changes, troubleshoot issues, and carry solutions into production.
- Shape data models and integration contracts and plan, implement, and validate data migrations.
- Mentor engineers, remove blockers, and make tradeoffs balancing delivery, reliability, and maintainability.
- Work with government partners and business stakeholders to understand needs, explain decisions, and document system requirements and decisions.
Requirements
- Strong record of delivering complex software and guiding technical decisions as an architect or experienced engineer ready to move into architecture.
- Current hands-on programming experience across services, APIs, databases, and automated testing.
- Ability to connect system design with implementation, explain tradeoffs, and follow problems through to resolution.
- Practical experience with relational databases and SQL, system integration, or evolving applications with existing data.
- Clear communication, collaborative problem solving, and ownership in a small team.
- Experience with similar technologies to Node.js, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or AWS is welcome; legacy modernization, data migration, event-driven systems, and federal project experience are useful additional strengths.
