Responsibilities
- Build ML-powered systems with Data Scientists and ML Engineers from initial design through validated production outcomes.
- Design and develop robust backend services in Go for financial risk steering and decision-making workflows.
- Design, develop, and operate distributed systems in the cloud.
- Work on event-driven systems using pub-sub and messaging platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation maintenance.
- Partner with Risk, Engineering, and Data Science teams to clarify requirements and explain technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or a master’s degree in the field.
- Strong production experience with Go and confidence in at least one additional language such as Python or Java.
- At least 7 years of experience in sophisticated technology environments, including cloud-native applications, scalability challenges, or event-driven solutions.
- Experience designing or operating distributed systems and architectures at scale.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or similar services.
- Understanding of event-driven platforms, pub-sub, and messaging brokers such as Kafka, NSQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with ML-powered products is preferred.
- Strong communication, product orientation, and attention to detail.
