Base Salary
$350k - $475k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design the authorization layer across products, including RBAC, API key scoping, organization hierarchies, and permission boundaries.
- Own billing infrastructure end to end, including usage metering and aggregation, plan management, payment processing, invoicing, and revenue recognition support.
- Build and evolve organizations and teams functionality, including seat management, SSO/SAML, workspace isolation, and invite flows.
- Implement data export and deletion pipelines meeting enterprise compliance and data residency requirements.
- Build audit logging that provides customers and internal teams visibility into who did what and when.
- Partner with product, legal, and other teams as features, pricing changes, and enterprise deals are developed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, specifically Python or Rust.
- Experience with billing or payments infrastructure, identity and access control such as RBAC/ABAC, OAuth, or SAML, or multi-tenant platform systems.
- Preferred: 4+ years building backend systems in production.
- Preferred: experience with scalable billing or metering systems, including Metronome pipelines, usage-based pricing, or invoicing pipelines.
- Preferred: familiarity with SSO/SCIM provisioning, audit trails, data residency, custom contracts, and role hierarchies.
- Preferred: experience designing correct financial systems with idempotency, exactly-once semantics, and reconciliation.
- Preferred: experience with event-driven architectures or stream processing for usage metering.
- Preferred: security engineering experience or a strong security mindset focused on least privilege, secure defaults, and threat modeling.
- Preferred: prior work at an AI/ML company, developer tools company, or API-first platform.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners, take initiative, and work across stacks and teams.
