Responsibilities
- Support top cloud customers using XGS-Tomahawk switching products in AI cluster scale-up, scale-out, and scale-across applications.
- Help customers run the switch development kit in their operating-system and platform environments.
- Identify software bugs, write or suggest software patches, and recommend APIs for traffic management, congestion control, and scheduling.
- Present SDK capabilities and answer customer questions about product features and networking architecture.
- Work with Field Sales Engineers to increase demand for Broadcom Wired Segment products.
- Understand customer applications and identify technology and product features for next-generation products.
- Act as a technical liaison among customers, the Core Switching Group Software Development Team, Factory Application Teams, and customers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in embedded networking software design and development.
- Ability to understand millions of lines of code and write patches.
- Expertise in Ethernet L2/L3 switching protocols.
- Field Applications Engineer experience is highly desired but not required.
- BSEE or BSCS required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize and multitask, adapt to changing market requirements, and perform under intense pressure.
