Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical aspects of the sales process, including product demonstrations, proofs of concept, customer onboarding, and feature requests.
- Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Help marketing identify opportunities to expand product marketing collateral.
- Communicate customer requirements and feature requests to product management.
- Conduct post-sales engineering check-ins with Customer Success, share product updates and roadmap information, and help customers integrate Kentik with internal tools and systems.
- Partner with account teams to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking objectives.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and meetups.
- Travel frequently, at least 30%, often on short notice, including regular onsite meetings with current and prospective customers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in high-tech sales, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or network engineering.
- Must be located on the U.S. East Coast.
- Ability to conduct technical conversations with staff-level engineers, architects, and senior executives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing Cisco and Juniper routers and personal Linux servers.
- Strong understanding of DNS, BGP, NetFlow, TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, and their use in infrastructure design and operations.
- Programming proficiency in a scripting language.
- Understanding of DDoS attacks and basic mitigation methods.
