Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components that solve business problems.
- Build and scale multi-tenant platforms for large-scale ML model training and serving.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions based on modeling techniques, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias/variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build cloud-based architectures and optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct data pipelines for training and serving ML models.
- Apply deployment automation, monitoring, model governance, and responsible and explainable AI practices.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 6 years of machine learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- At least 6 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
- At least 4 years of experience deploying and operating production ML solutions and cloud services using AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or doctoral degree, 5+ years optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, and 5+ years building resilient production software and ML data pipelines.
- Preferred experience includes supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; regression, classification, and clustering; RNNs, CNNs, LSTMs, and Transformers; and model evaluation and diagnosis.
- ML industry impact through presentations, papers, blog posts, open-source contributions, or patents is preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and machine learning concepts is preferred.
