Base Salary
$180k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and test Vapi assistants using live calls and simulations across LLM, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and telephony integrations.
- Extend the end-to-end test framework and ship Playwright tests against the dashboard.
- Find product failures, file bugs with hypotheses, and identify coverage gaps.
- Own release testing for a major product area and gate releases with engineering partners.
- Improve automated regression coverage and use AI coding agents to expand test scenarios.
- Partner with engineers on test strategy for new features and establish reusable testing practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA, SDET, test engineering, or product engineering with a strong testing focus.
- Hands-on experience with a modern end-to-end testing framework, preferably Playwright; Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent are acceptable.
- Strong enough TypeScript or JavaScript skills to extend the test suite and investigate bugs.
- Experience testing complex distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or real-time behavior with non-fixed expected outcomes.
- Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Self-directed working style, strong written communication, customer empathy, and ownership orientation.
- Preferred experience with voice AI, conversational AI, LLM applications, telephony, LLM evaluations, developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, dashboards, early-stage startups, or relevant open-source and public-writing work.
