Responsibilities
- Drive a holistic quality engineering mindset across web, desktop, API, database, and AI-powered applications.
- Build scalable, reusable, maintainable UI, web, desktop, and API automation frameworks using Playwright and TestComplete.
- Develop test automation scripts and framework components using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java.
- Implement Page Object Model, data-driven testing, BDD, contract testing, visual regression, accessibility, cross-browser, and mobile web testing approaches.
- Perform API testing, integration testing, SQL-based data validation, backend verification, and end-to-end automation.
- Integrate automated testing with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Use GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, prompt engineering, and other AI techniques for test-case design, code generation, debugging, optimization, and maintenance.
- Address AI testing risks including prompt injection, jailbreaks, hallucination detection, safety validation, and responsible AI practices.
- Define testing strategies, plans, quality metrics, risk management, and defect management practices.
- Manage, mentor, and develop QA and automation teams and introduce effective testing solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering with UI, web, and API automation expertise.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Playwright, TestComplete, or similar modern automation frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Java for test automation.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable, enterprise-grade automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile, test strategy, test planning, risk management, defect management, and quality metrics.
- Experience defining testing strategies for web/UI, API, database, and AI-powered applications.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD integration, and modern DevOps testing practices.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, including AI-assisted test design, prompt engineering, and responsible AI testing.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge for comprehensive data validation.
- Experience with REST API testing, SQL databases, and advanced end-to-end testing scenarios.
- Preferred expertise includes Playwright visual regression and accessibility testing, TestComplete desktop automation, REST Assured, Postman scripting, AI-powered test optimization, AI security testing, hallucination detection, safety validation, and advanced testing patterns.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, architect modern AI-enabled test frameworks, and mentor teams on AI-assisted development and testing.
