Base Salary

$110k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud platforms, services, architecture patterns, security controls, automation standards, and governance processes.
  • Lead cloud migration, modernization, infrastructure transformation, resiliency, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery initiatives.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for up to 50% of the year and respond to complex infrastructure, security, networking, identity, and cloud platform incidents.
  • Serve as a Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation point and lead resolution of major incidents involving cloud services, identity platforms, virtualization, networking, business continuity, and enterprise applications.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective and preventive actions.
  • Advise stakeholders on cloud architecture, security, compliance, platform capabilities, operational risk, identity management, networking, and infrastructure security.
  • Establish operational procedures, standards, technical documentation, monitoring, observability, and alerting practices.
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor for Cloud Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise platforms and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of relevant infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and platform engineering, cloud architecture, governance, and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Windows and Linux server administration, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, identity governance, cloud storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, alerting, security hardening, vulnerability management, cloud security controls, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Moderate knowledge of application architecture, cloud-native development patterns, data platforms, analytics services, FinOps, cloud cost optimization, Zero Trust security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to lead technical strategy, influence enterprise standards, troubleshoot complex systems, resolve major incidents, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks and meet applicable DOT requirements if applicable.
