Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders and subject-matter experts to identify high-value opportunities for AI-driven workflow transformation.
- Embed with internal departments to understand workflows, systems, data, constraints, and success measures.
- Build, evaluate, deploy, and support AI-enabled workflows from discovery through production adoption.
- Develop reusable skills, tools, integrations, agents, workflow components, playbooks, technical patterns, and operating practices.
- Contribute capabilities and developer-experience improvements to SoFi’s internal AI platform based on field-deployment insights.
- Create feedback loops among users, AI Enablement, product, and platform engineering.
- Advise senior business and technology leaders on applied AI opportunities and tradeoffs.
- Define the technical and operating foundation for scaling Forward Deployed Engineering and AI Enablement.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and operating sophisticated software systems at Sr Staff Engineer-equivalent scope.
- Track record leading technically ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through production adoption.
- Strong product judgment and ability to identify the underlying problem behind feature requests.
- Experience designing applications, platforms, developer tools, workflow systems, or distributed systems.
- Practical experience building with large language models, including tool use, context engineering, agents, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
- Ability to distinguish prototypes and department-specific solutions from capabilities appropriate for a shared platform.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication across technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Comfort creating structure, standards, and momentum in an evolving operating model.
- Preferred experience as an early Forward Deployed Engineer, product engineer, product manager, solutions architect, or enterprise-platform technical leader.
- Preferred experience building internal developer platforms, AI platforms, enterprise productivity products, agentic systems, or evaluation and feedback systems for nondeterministic products.
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment is preferred.
