Base Salary

$118k - $130k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, maintain, and support Workday software applications, solutions, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with ITS teams, university stakeholders, and external vendors to define technical specifications and deliver features and services.
  • Write test cases, identify system issues and bugs, communicate fixes, and support application stability and compatibility.
  • Support project planning, process execution, operational-efficiency improvements, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Embed security governance, secure development standards, compliance procedures, and quality analysis measures into workflows and plans.
  • Handle and route customer requests, provide timely follow-up, and develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems and datasets, analyze root causes, and communicate problem-solving rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge-base articles, tutorials, and training resources.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology, standards, and best practices while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science or computer information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in information technology, software development, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Foundational knowledge of security concepts, secure code development techniques, and software solution development and configuration.
  • Ability to work with large, complex systems and write test cases for new and existing code.
  • Ability to provide detailed information and summaries to peers and supervisors.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with diverse teams.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least four years of information technology experience.
  • Preferred: experience in higher education and with Workday applications, integrations, related technologies, Workday Extend, or application development within Workday.
  • Preferred: strong technical, problem-solving, customer-facing, interpersonal, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
