Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, goals, pain points, and modernization opportunities.
- Design, present, and demonstrate tailored data architecture solutions, technical proposals, proofs of concept, and implementation roadmaps.
- Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, assessments, and client engagements.
- Develop SOWs and cost estimates with cross-functional teams.
- Design and architect end-to-end Microsoft Fabric and Azure data solutions.
- Design data ingestion, transformation, storage, warehousing, data lake, and ETL/ELT architectures.
- Design real-time streaming and processing architectures using Azure Event Hubs and Azure Stream Analytics.
- Use Azure DevOps for data engineering CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Advise on performance tuning, optimization, data governance, and scalable infrastructure for AI/ML and LLM-based applications.
- Drive professional services revenue growth and identify new service opportunities.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for clients and presales teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
- Strong presales experience focused on data architecture and engineering.
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, data warehousing, and real-time analytics.
- Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data pipeline design, and real-time data streaming and processing.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code, plus understanding of Microsoft Purview.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure Data Analyst Associate (DA-100/DA-200), and Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300).
