Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex, high-impact projects from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, adoption, and live-site operations.
- Write substantial production code, lead critical component implementation, solve difficult engineering problems, and maintain deep knowledge of system architecture and code.
- Define the architecture and long-term technical direction for critical data security platform areas across multiple services and engineering teams.
- Lead cross-team technical alignment, including designs, interfaces, dependency contracts, implementation plans, prioritization, and production readiness.
- Drive reliability, security, privacy, operational quality, automated testing, telemetry, service health, safe deployment, rollback, threat modeling, and security controls at cloud scale.
- Multiply organizational technical effectiveness through design and code reviews, mentoring, engineering excellence, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 8+ years designing, building, and operating scalable highly available cloud services or distributed systems, including production ownership, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: 5+ years leading technical architecture across multiple engineering teams or organizations.
- Preferred: experience with secure policy evaluation, authorization, access-control systems, authentication, data protection, and secure coding practices.
- Preferred: experience building applications with LLMs and generative AI technologies, including agent orchestration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning, or model evaluation.
