Responsibilities
- Design and implement tiered architecture that organizes systems into functional layers.
- Provision specialized infrastructure to avoid resource contention.
- Distribute components for optimal load handling and database operations.
- Implement multi-region and global setups to reduce latency and improve disaster recovery.
- Develop horizontal scaling and load-balancing solutions.
- Integrate caching mechanisms to improve system responsiveness.
- Ensure redundancy, failover, and high availability for critical operations.
- Monitor and manage distributed systems with advanced tools.
- Embed security and compliance considerations into architectural designs.
- Assess technology-obsolescence risks and promote sustainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of tiered architecture and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of load balancing, caching, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with security protocols such as token-based authentication and data partitioning or sharding.
- A cloud architecture or DevOps certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes certification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
