Responsibilities
- Lead technical standards, architecture discussions, code reviews, and quality gates for the web stack.
- Analyze system performance, propose rendering and load-performance KPIs, and help establish monitoring pipelines.
- Guide HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and GSAP architecture for high-performance visual elements in embedded mobile webviews.
- Design and develop scalable MERN web systems with efficient database use, Redis caching, and low latency under high-concurrency loads.
- Assess technical risks and implementation feasibility during pre-development planning and define mitigation strategies.
- Partner with the Lead Engineer on execution plans, technical breakdowns, and feature delivery.
- Provide complexity estimates and hands-on development for complex, high-traffic backend/API and frontend components.
- Mentor and guide SE I and SE II engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering robust web systems.
- Strong production-proven experience with React.js and Node.js in the MERN stack.
- Experience conducting code reviews, establishing best practices, and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
- Exceptional debugging, performance-profiling, and troubleshooting skills across frontend and backend systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration experience with Lead Engineers, Product Owners, or Technical Directors.
- Experience scaling web applications through caching strategies such as Redis or by handling high-concurrency environments.
- Preferred: experience optimizing web pages for mobile webviews or resource-constrained mobile browsers.
- Preferred: familiarity with HTML5 Canvas, 2D/WebGL, and animation libraries such as GSAP or PixiJS.
