Base Salary
$89k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute integration, validation, and feature verification of RF software, including FR1/FR2, uplink/downlink, carrier aggregation, and MIMO scenarios.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, system-level, and performance test cases and validation plans.
- Support RF hardware and software bring-up for new chipsets, platforms, and feature introductions.
- Debug RF software, calibration, and test failures; perform root-cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
- Analyze logs, modem traces, test results, and system data to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Validate RF software releases, track defects, and assess feature readiness.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and validation frameworks to improve coverage and scalability.
- Set up, optimize, and maintain RF test lab environments and equipment.
- Collaborate with RF, modem software, systems, automation, and product teams on integration issues.
- Document validation results, defect analyses, methodologies, and lessons learned.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in validation, automation, and quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in RF testing, wireless systems, embedded software validation, modem integration, or related engineering fields is preferred.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including TX/RX chains, calibration, RF impairments, and link performance.
- Understanding of LTE, 5G NR, emerging 6G concepts, wireless protocol logs, and RF performance measurements.
- Experience with RF test equipment, base station simulators, RF calibration, and validation methodologies.
- Familiarity with modem architecture and RF software integration workflows.
- Experience debugging in embedded, Android, Linux, or system-level environments.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Shell, Perl, or similar languages.
- Experience developing or maintaining test automation frameworks and validation tools.
- Proficiency with Linux and Android environments.
- Experience with data analysis, log parsing, and large-scale validation data processing.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and automated testing methodologies.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, AI-assisted debugging, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation tools.
- Ability to use automation and AI-driven workflows to improve engineering productivity and test effectiveness.
