Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Own complete development of a new platform from requirements analysis through design, implementation, and delivery.
- Apply Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, caching, databases, enterprise integration patterns, and cloud-focused architecture.
- Design and implement web services, application integrations, and distributed software solutions.
- Contribute to automated testing and continuous improvement of agile development practices.
- Drive usability, cloud adoption, user experience, and GenAI adoption for the platform.
- Coordinate with offshore development and QA teams, infrastructure groups, vendors, support teams, and other stakeholders.
- Translate technical designs into workable solutions and troubleshoot system integration, infrastructure, or administration issues.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities.
- Experience developing web services and working with Kafka and service-oriented architecture.
- Expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
- Working knowledge of database design and SQL.
- Awareness or experience with GenAI agentic tools or other GenAI tooling.
- Strong experience with Spring and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external groups and work effectively in large teams.
- Strong problem-solving and software development skills, including the ability to interpret technical designs.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is generally expected for the role.
- Preferred experience includes AngularJS, ExtJS, AWS or Azure certifications, distributed caching, MongoDB, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, and vendor-feed data management.
