Base Salary
$220k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the core backend platform, including microservices, asynchronous processing pipelines, and data infrastructure.
- Set technical strategy and make high-impact architectural decisions across the product and engineering organization.
- Design and build reliable, high-performance SaaS services that process security data with low latency and high throughput.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver complex features.
- Mentor senior engineers through architecture reviews, design discussions, and hands-on pairing.
- Partner with product leadership to shape the technical roadmap and balance customer needs with long-term platform health.
- Identify and resolve systemic performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and technical debt.
- Contribute directly to backend code in Go within a Kubernetes-based infrastructure backed by MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Experience designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and asynchronous workload processing at scale.
- Previous experience building or architecting application security products, with familiarity with AppSec, DevSecOps, or software supply chain security strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Go and production experience with Kubernetes, MongoDB, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience setting technical direction, driving architecture decisions, and collaborating through senior technical leaders.
- Strong product sense for building performant, reliable SaaS products that solve customer problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Founding engineer or early-stage startup experience, developer-facing product experience, and contributions to open-source security tooling or research are bonus qualifications.
