Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data- and AI-focused technology strategy and architectural portfolios.
- Mentor engineers and technical leaders through architecture patterns, hands-on guidance, workshops, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead architecture decision-making through ADRs, standards, design reviews, code reviews, and architectural assessments.
- Define governed data consumption patterns using data contracts, curated datasets, domain marts, and repeatable end-to-end data flow templates.
- Set platform standards for orchestration and reliability, including SLAs, retries, idempotency, backfills, runbooks, and operational dashboards.
- Establish data quality practices covering critical data elements, validation, monitoring, and issue triage.
- Embed metadata, lineage, classification, ownership, privacy controls, and model lifecycle governance into platform architecture.
- Define AIOps standards for traceability, quality measurement, incident response readiness, and cost controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product management to identify and mitigate technical risks and stay aligned with regulations and security standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software development methodologies, architecture, and implementation of large-scale enterprise systems.
- 4+ years focused on data engineering, data management, data platform architecture, and designing AI solutions including AIOps practices.
- Proven experience building or evolving enterprise data platforms and driving standards and adoption across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to design governance-ready AI solutions with evaluation strategies, privacy safeguards, and auditability.
- Strong expertise in system architecture, cloud computing, distributed systems, and integration technologies.
- Deep experience with AWS Glue, Step Functions, Airflow, dbt, Spark, and Snowflake, plus proficiency in Python, SQL, and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph and AIOps tooling such as LangFuse.
- Strong understanding of security, performance optimization, scalability, reliability, operational readiness, and governance.
- Preferred experience includes regulated environments, federated domain ownership, platform observability, medallion architecture, streaming systems, and metadata and governance tools.
