Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
- Drive accessibility-first development and ensure solutions meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards.
- Develop and modernize responsive, scalable, and accessible front-end components.
- Conduct automated and manual accessibility testing, including screen-reader testing, and remediate issues.
- Embed accessibility standards into design, code reviews, testing, and the broader development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product, business analysis, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver compliant, high-quality releases.
- Mentor junior and intermediate developers on technical development and accessibility best practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly across design, coding, testing, and debugging.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Deep working knowledge of WCAG principles and WAI-ARIA.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Recent, highly proficient experience with C#, .NET, and ASPX.
- Familiarity with writing and consuming APIs.
- Experience with NuGet libraries, NHibernate ORM, and Entity Framework.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, SQL scripting for MS SQL, and .NET unit-testing frameworks is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted development tools with sound technical judgment and responsible AI practices.
