Base Salary
$180k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop a robust, highly scalable in-house search platform for Dropbox Dash.
- Design and implement a unified search platform integrating various search functionalities.
- Enable diverse search capabilities including lexical, vector, and multi-modal search.
- Build a scalable indexing infrastructure for handling trillions of documents.
- Expand search platform capabilities to support a global user base.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience in constructing and managing multi-threaded backend systems.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
- Experience with operating system internals, filesystems, databases, and networks is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and solve open-ended problems.
- Capable of taking ownership of long-term projects and setting strategic direction.
