Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and support memory compiler tools and flows for generating physical views including GDSII, LEF, NDM, and CDL.
- Maintain and improve testing of internal tools and generated views using internal and external EDA tools and flows.
- Automate tool development, validation, and release workflows using scripting, software engineering techniques, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborate with Physical IP design teams, SoC design teams, and EDA vendors to evaluate methodologies, define requirements, and deliver reliable EDA views.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven ability to develop significant functionality, analyze complex issues, and fix defects using C/C++, Java, Python, and shell programming.
- Experience with software engineering guidelines, Git/Gerrit or similar version control systems, test methodologies, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Familiarity with digital circuit design fundamentals.
- Experience leveraging AI/LLM-driven techniques for software development and engineering workflow automation.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with circuit and layout design, CDL, GDSII, LEF, Cadence DB, memory compilers, tiling, netlist stitching, SKILL, place and route, LVS, DRC, and extraction.
- Ability to work autonomously, learn new technologies, handle shifting priorities, and collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
