Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and support tools and flows for memory compiler development.
- Generate and maintain physical memory views including GDSII, LEF, NDM, and CDL.
- Maintain and improve testing of internal tools and generated views using internal and external EDA tools and flows.
- Automate tool development, validation, and release workflows using scripting, software engineering techniques, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborate with Physical IP design teams, SoC design teams, and EDA vendors to evaluate methodologies and define requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Python, and shell programming, including adding significant functionality and fixing complex defects.
- Experience with software engineering practices, version control such as Git/Gerrit, test methodologies, and test automation.
- Familiarity with digital circuit design fundamentals.
- Experience using AI/LLM-driven techniques for software development and engineering workflow automation.
- Preferred experience with circuit and layout design and formats including CDL, GDSII, LEF, and Cadence DB.
- Preferred experience with memory compilers, tiling, and netlist stitching.
- Knowledge of EDA flows including Cadence DB, SKILL, place and route, LVS, DRC, and extraction.
- Ability to work autonomously, handle changing priorities, solve complex technical problems, and collaborate across distributed teams and time zones.
