Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs, Web APIs, microservices, and backend services for high-volume financial transactions.
- Participate in production incident bridge calls, troubleshoot failures, implement hotfixes, own issue resolution, and drive root-cause fixes.
- Lead backend architecture and distributed-system design focused on scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
- Implement secure transaction processing and data protection aligned with financial regulations, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases while maintaining data integrity, consistency, and performance.
- Integrate with payment gateways, banking APIs, third-party services, and other external systems.
- Monitor logs, metrics, and tracing tools and optimize systems for low latency, high availability, and uptime.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, lead technical design discussions, and collaborate with architects, product, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of backend development experience and strong financial-services, banking, or fintech experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, .NET 8+, and ASP.NET Core, with experience building REST APIs, Web APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with SQL Server, database design, Entity Framework or other ORM tools, and distributed or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of system design, scalability patterns, API security, OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, encryption, data protection, PCI, and SOX.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience mentoring and leading engineers.
- Preferred experience with low-latency or real-time systems, payment systems such as ACH, RTP, cards, or SWIFT, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Domain-Driven Design.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
